Weber Shandwick announces new hire to lead sustainability offering in Asia Pacific

Weber Shandwick has welcomed Marta Bigio to the team as Senior Vice President, Sustainability Lead, APAC. Based in Singapore, Marta will support the firm's clients to develop purpose-driven and sustainable practices. In this new role, she will report to Carolyn Devanayagam, Head of Corporate Affairs, Asia Pacific. She is also currently Co-Chair of the Sustainability Committee at PRCA, where she helps to develop tools and assets to equip sustainability professionals with the skills to speak authentically about sustainability.

Marta previously spearheaded sustainability practices at Redhill and before that, led communication strategy, corporate positioning and issues and crisis management for Unilever’s sustainable sourcing agenda.

On the appointment, Carolyn Devanayagam said: "Marta's wealth of experience in steering businesses through challenges and crafting effective sustainability strategies fortifies our comprehensive suite of client offerings.

"With her on board, we are better poised than ever to empower our clients in their pursuit of meaningful and impactful sustainability initiatives."
