Reputation Works releases climate-focused report
Reputation Works and Simply Thought have released a report that discusses the representation of climate change in the news media. The report analysed more than 2,300 articles from 45 outlets across 11 global markets, including Greater China, Singapore and India.

- The global news media is almost twice as likely to take a fear-based approach to coverage rather than highlighting positive examples of climate action. Greater China is the only exception, where 23.6 per cent of articles featured positive examples.
- 64.7 per cent of media coverage praised the actions of the business community around climate change, while just 7.6 per cent featured criticism of corporate action on climate change.
- More than 15 per cent of articles from Singapore criticised government action on climate change, while articles from Greater China and India ranked last with less than 5 per cent each.
