The inaugural Philippine Media Safety Summit is set to be launched on 2^nd - 3^rd May at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, in commemoration of World Press Freedom Day. A consortium of media organisations has organised the summit to facilitate a review and assessment of the state of journalism and freedom of expression in the country. Plenary discussions and workshops are planned for the two-day event with topics ranging from print and broadcast media sustainability, freelance and visual journalist challenges, and more.
