Associate Editor / Translator
Law.asia, a thriving legal publishing company with market-leading magazines focusing on China, India and the rest of Asia, is seeking an adept, capable editor / translator with native-level Chinese, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
Our brand, Law.asia, is a leading media boasting multi-lingual content and international coverage of legal markets across Asia. Successful applicant will primarily work alongside the editorial team on coverage of the mainland China and Hong Kong markets on a uniquely bilingual legal intelligence platform.

Job Highlights
- Leading media boasting multi-lingual content and international coverage of legal markets across Asia

- Edit and translate legal articles from simplified Chinese to English, and vice versa
- Article management, including communicating with authors and ensuring on-time delivery
- Proofread English and Chinese content to ensure quality
- Participate in larger editorial projects, such as award research and writing
- In the long term, may have opportunities to write feature articles, conduct research / interview, and go on business trips
- Bachelor degree or higher in translation, English studies, creative writing, journalism, law or other associated fields
- 3 years of experience in translation, publication, media or comparable functions. Less experienced applicants may be considered for Assistant Editor
- A flair for Chinese and English writing and the ability to process and simplify legal / business issues
- Knowledge of - and interest in - business and legal landscape of China and Asia
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Teamworking spirits is a must
- Must have legal working status in Hong Kong
