Academic forum and cooperation announcement of the "Thai Fact-Checking Network"

Thai Media Fund held an academic seminar and announced cooperation to integrate and empower the Thai Fact-Checking Network on Thursday 24th August 2023.
 
The activity began with an opening speech from Dhanakorn Srisooksai, Ph.D., CEO of Thai Media Fund (TMF), on the topic of “Safe and Creative Media Development Fund and Supporting the Work of Thai Fact-Checking Network” and from Stéphane Delfour, AFP Director of the Bangkok bureau, Thailand, on “The current state of fake news and the importance of fact-checking by the media”. Continued with the report of the study "Working Guidelines and Designing a System to Support Data Linkage to Integrate and Strengthen the Network of Fact-checking Agencies” by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Followed by a discussion panel on "Lessons from Fact-Checking in Thailand to Build Cooperation of Network Partners" by Kultida Samabuddhi - Cofact Thailand Fact Checker, Peerapon Anutarasoat - Fact-checker & Manager, Sure And Share Center, Thai News Agency, MCOT, Santiphap Permmongkolsub, Ph.D., - Deputy Director of Anti-Fake News Center, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and Chamnan Ngammaneeudom, Ph.D. - Deputy CEO of the Thai Media Fund. The event was conducted by Praweenamai Baicloy.
