Public affairs veteran launches Fitzpatrick Advisory

Eamonn Fitzpatrick has returned to Australia and launched his own consultancy. After a year and a half in Hong Kong as a Partner at Consulum, Eamonn has moved to Sydney to launch Fitzpatrick Advisory, drawing on his thirty-plus years of experience in journalism, public affairs and state and federal government communications.

Fitzpatrick Advisory provides bespoke government relations, public affairs, media and strategic counsel to help clients understand political and media decision-making, and help them effectively engage with government and oppositions.

Eamonn said Australia finds itself in an exciting time of change, with Fitzpatrick Advisory perfectly positioned: "This is the culmination of decades advising federal and state Labor leaders, governments and election campaigns, working in the media and advising businesses - including some of the biggest global and Australian brands - on working with Labor."

After 13 years working as a Journalist in Hong Kong, Australia and London, Eamonn moved into political communications. He was senior press secretary to Prime Ministers Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd and ran government communications for Premiers Anna Bligh and Morris Iemma. He has also worked on a number of Labor election campaigns, including Anthony Albanese’s successful 2022 federal campaign, and those of WA Premier Mark McGowan and Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
